FRB、年内の利上げ見送り示唆 01月31日

米連邦準備制度理事会（FRB）は30日の連邦公開市場委員会（FOMC）で、昨年末時点で2019年中に2回を見込んでいた利上げについて、19年内には実施しない可能性を示唆した。
国債などの保有資産を減らし市場に流すお金の量を減らす政策も見直しを表明。15年末から続く利上げ局面の転換点となる。

Nikkei Business found out on Thursday that Chiyoda Corporation, one of the largest engineering companies in Japan, has asked for around hundred billion yen of financial support from its shareholders and investment funds, including Mitsubishi Corporation.
During the second half of the fiscal year in 2018, Chiyoda suffered huge loses to the tune of about one hundred billion yen due to the unexpected increase of the LNG plant construction cost in the US.

国内清涼飲料水市場のブランドにおける首位争いで、逆転劇が起こった。コカ・コーラのコーヒーブランド「ジョージア」が1990年から28年間トップに君臨していたのだが、2018年の年間販売数量でサントリー食品インターナショナルの「サントリー天然水」ブランドが抜いたのだ。

Nissin Foods Group announced on Friday that it decided to withdraw from any Ekiden relay team competition going forward. As a result, this year's New Year's Ekiden competition was the last race in which they participated as an Ekiden event.
This is because of the the team's poor performance for years, which resulted in restructuring their fourteen runners. Thus,Nissin will focus on the world class individual events rather than team events.
